LIST OF LICENSES &

STATUTORY OBLIGATIONS NEEDED FOR HOSPITAL

(All of them might not be applicable to all Hospitals)

Licenses:

General

1.        The Clinical Establishments (Registration and Regulation) Act, 2019

2.        Registration with local Authority

3.        Building Permit (from the Municipality Concerned)

4.        Bio-medical Waste Management and Handling Authorization (License under Bio-Medical Waste Management BMW 2016 from pollution control board)

5.        Air, water and hazardous material (Prevention and Control of pollution) Act, 1981 and License

Facility Management

6.        No Objection Certificate from the Chief Fire officer (Fire NOC)

7.        Excise permit to Store spirit.

8.        License to store diesel (If storing more than 100 liter)

9.        License to Store Compressed Gas

10.     Permit to operate lifts under the lifts and escalators Act.

11.     Electricity installation certificate

12.     Certificate for using Boilers under the Indian Boilers act, 1923

13.     Canteen/ Food & Beverage license (from municipal corporation)

14.     Income Tax PAN.

15.     Ambulance vehicle registration 

16.     Arms licenses under arms act 1959

17.     Sales Tax Registration Certificate

18.     Vehicle Registration Certificates for Ambulances

Pharmacy

19.     Retail Drug License (Pharmacy)

21.     Narcotics & psychotropic substances Act and License

Radiology (Atomic Energy Regulatory Body (AERB) approvals)

22.     Registration for modality license to operate CT/X ray

23.     RSO level 1

24.     Registration of PNDT under PCPNDT act, 2015

Clinical Department

25.     Registration under MTP act 1971

26.     License for operating blood bank

27.     Registration for transplantation of human organ

28.   License for provision of Psychiatric services 

29. Organ transplant (if applicable)
